Oh, sound the call to dear old Interlochen!

I'm thrilled to have been invited to join the piano faculty at Interlochen Arts Camp, a place that played an enormous role in my own musical journey. To say this place means a lot to me is a pretty massive understatement—I attended four times as a camper and spent three transformative years at the Arts Academy, and those experiences shaped me profoundly, not just as a pianist, but as a person.

Interlochen was where I first encountered an environment entirely dedicated to the arts—where everyone around me cared as deeply about music as I did. The friendships I formed there, with people from all over the world, were unlike any I've made anywhere else. Many of them remain close friends today. There's just something about Interlochen that creates connections of an entirely different kind.

Now, returning as a faculty member after many years performing, teaching, and reflecting on my own practice, I’m struck by how much it feels like a full-circle moment. This summer will be a kind of homecoming—both a return and a new beginning—and I’m incredibly grateful for the chance to give back to a place that gave so much to me. I cannot wait!
